Children's Book

"If you are the smartest person you know, you have a problem."  - Nikki Giovanni

I have discovered that in order to WRITE a book, you have to be a skilled writer.  While I am comfortable writing...writing a book in the simple precise manner necessary for it to be good for children is a whole other story.  I humbly apologize to trees everywhere for the unbelievable amount of wasted paper I used in writing this story out.  I can however manage to illustrate a book with a decent sequencing of images that conveys my idea.  The story focuses creating positive coping skills for common childhood fears.  It centers on a young girl that confronts her fears, and that the empowerment of overcoming her fear is crucial in her growth as a maturing child.  Her fears are the standard fare of: growing up, monsters, being alone, being lost, strangers, the dark, and spiders...Temporarily entitled "Home On My Own":  Here are the final sketches in sequence, and one page finalized into full color.
